Hayley Filipovic, C3 Australia Regional Manager – Green Triangle (Portland, VIC), has been named Forest Industries Emerging Leader of the Year at the Australian Forest Products Association’s (AFPA) 2021 National Forest Industry Awards.
Against a strong field of nominees, Hayley shone through. Setting Hayley apart was her outstanding performance overseeing C3’s operations in the Green Triangle region while managing market fluctuations and the impact of the pandemic at the same time as maintaining a laser-like focus on safety and supporting her team and customers.
Speaking after the awards, Hayley said she was humbled to receive such recognition after a relatively short time in the industry, “I am truly honoured to have received this award, especially considering the strength and depth of the competition. I would like to thank the sponsors, Lonza, and AFPA and the judging panel for this award and for the broader recognition of the role emerging leaders are already playing to better our industry.”

Having joined C3 Australia, part of the wider LINX Cargo Care Group, in 2019 as an Operations Manager in Portland, Victoria, Hayley’s talents quickly emerged building off her previous experience as an Army Officer specialising in logistics.
In April 2020 Hayley assumed the role of Regional Manager – Green Triangle and now oversees all of C3’s operations in the area which include in field chipping (IFC), haulage, log marshalling (LM) and support services.
Covering swathes of south-west Victoria and south-east South Australia, and with ninety-five employees supporting five customers, the Green Triangle has become one of C3 Australia’s best performing regions under Hayley’s leadership.
Hayley’s leadership has resulted in tangible safety improvements with Forest Owners and Service Providers (FOSP) audit scores of C3’s Green Triangle operation jumping from 96.49 per cent in November 2020 to 98.2 per cent in January 2021.
